Since 1978, CON-TEST has grown to rank among the leading Canadian providers of quality performance testing and certification services. CON-TEST was founded to respond to the demands of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Protection Practitioners whose awareness of the potential hazards associated with the manipulation of pathogenic materials created a need for quality independent service providers. With this clear commitment to quality, CON-TEST developed and established service procedures and protocols that satisfied the stringent requirements for accreditation by the Standards Council of Canada as early as 1985. As the first Canadian company to achieve this accreditation CON-TEST worked with the industry to establish accreditation standards for technicians. With the creation of the NSF Accreditation program some 10 years later CON-TEST was the first company in our marketplace to have NSF accredited technicians. New technologies and stringent industry requirements again created a demand for expertise in cleanroom certification. CON-TEST was the first Canadian company to gain NEBB certification for cleanroom performance testing. As the service provider of choice for pharmaceutical and research companies, major hospitals, universities, government and private clinical laboratories, CON-TEST realized that the demand for even more services would need to be met by a company that has a total commitment to quality. After over a year of preparation CON-TEST applied for and received ISO 9002 registration in 1996. Again the quality of CON-TEST led the industry to new performance standards.
